Overview of the B.A - Bachelor of Arts Course

The BA course is an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts degree that focuses on developing strong foundational knowledge in humanities, social sciences, languages, and behavioural sciences for success in diverse academic, professional, and public service environments. This arts-focused program emphasises critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and communication skills required for success in journalism, law, education, and management.

The BA course combines core humanities subjects with language proficiency and specialisation-based learning to prepare students for diverse professional opportunities across media, public administration, social work, and research sectors. The BA (college) curriculum provides a strong foundation in economics, psychology, history, political science, sociology, and geography, equipping students for professional careers and higher education in the arts and humanities field.

Program Objectives

The BA course aims to provide students with a strong foundation in humanities, social sciences, and language studies along with practical academic and skill-based exposure. The key objectives of the program are:
